Step 2: Get Your Domain and Hosting
If you already have a favorite service you prefer for domain registration and/or website hosting, feel free to use them. For our demo, we're showing you how to do both simultaneously through GoDaddy.

- Choose a domain that fits well with your target market — search GoDaddy to see if available.
- GoDaddy will try to upsell you with an array of optional services. Our preferences are:
- Privacy = NO
- Hosting = YES (not “Website Builder”, just “Hosting”)
- Add email to your domain = NO
- Additional domains = NO
- Hosting type = LINUX
- Increased Traffic = NO (not worth paying them for it)
- Choose the cheapest “economy” hosting package available
- We prefer reserving our domain for 1 year at a time, and hosting month-to-month
- After ordering, find the GoDaddy email receipt (check spam), then click to “Get Started” to setup your hosting cPanel.
- Under “Domains” you can verify that your new domain is there.
- Under “Web Hosting” click the “Launch” button to setup your cPanel
- Select your new domain, then choose a username/password for your cPanel
- Make note of your cPanel login details (for your web guy later)
- The login page for your website's cPanel should be yourwebsite.com/cpanel
- Side Note A: When logging into cPanel, if you happen to see a security message like “The security token is missing from your request.” or “This is probably not the website you're looking for!” …just ignore it. Trust me, as alarming as it may seem, it's normal…We don't know why either, but it's nothing to worry about at all. :- )
- Side Note B: It's outside the scope of this training, but worth nothing that you can actually host multiple domains/websites under the same hosting account. So when you setup a second web page, there's no need for another hosting account; instead just add an “Add on Domain” as mentioned in the video above.
Step 3: Setup Your Autoresponder
This is what will make your input form work on your website, and manage your communications. When your prospects submit their info on your webpage, it will (i) add them to your list, (ii) notify you, and (iii) start sending them a few, well-crafted emails on autopilot. Also you can send an email broadcast at any time to whoever is actively on your growing autoresponder list.

Now it's time to assemble the ingredients…but don't worry, you're not the chef. You're the “restaurant owner”, so no need to worry about how it's done. Just find an awesome chef and let him do it for you! Thanks to the internet age we live in today, it's really amazing how simple and easy it is to find someone who can “eat this stuff for lunch” for you.
